Head of Japan Relations, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
After graduating from Keio University with a bachelor's degree in policy studies, Mihoko started her career in finance and transitioned to ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) and responsible investment. She joined the World Economic Forum's Japan office as its first Japan-based staff and was responsible for developing the regional strategy and shaping global agenda discourses from Tokyo. Since July 2017, she has been the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's first representative based in Japan and is responsible for maximizing solutions and resources for global health and other challenges in developing countries. She holds an MBA from the Judge Business School at Cambridge University and an Executive Master of Global Leadership Fellowship from the World Economic Forum.
