Miki Ebara is NHK World's Chief International Correspondent and Executive Producer. She anchors the network's global affairs program "Global Agenda". She also produces documentaries, often war and peace themed. Joining NHK in 1987, she became a foreign correspondent, based in London, Bangkok and New York. Her reporting from conflict hotspots in South East Asia, the Balkans and the Middle East helped enrich NHK's News contents by bringing women's perspectives. Ebara holds BA (history) from Osaka University and MA(SE studies) from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.
